Coma?

As Alfred 程亮 (Raymond) was pronounced dead, my immediate reaction is why not just a COMA and not death, the typical TVB solution to these situations? I feel like TVB just wanted viewers to stop focusing on the four sided relationship and focus on the family feud. With the coma, Alfred (Raymond) could wake up at the end and then it is happily ever after for him and 常在心 (Linda). All along the relationship between 得得地 (Moses) and 常在心 was a brother-sister relationship, though 得得地 had feelings for her, she had always treated him as an older brother, so I find it hard to accept the relationship that they develop at the end of the story...She seems to be treating 得得地 as a life boat...However, though their relationship develops in a mere 4 episodes, it really spans a couple of years and I remember the scene where 常在心 locks up Alfred's diary which signifies a closure to their relationship. It is just that it seems like 常在心just didn't want to see him go to Africa and be left alone...whatever, this isn't going anywhere...but I know that she truly loved Alfred and she thankfully loved 得得地.

The diary entries written by Alfred and 常在心 are very touching and the songs that were chosen; Vincent and My Love will get you Home are very very fitting. Just like Kevin's last words in the the Seventh Day, the final words by Raymond were amazing and gave good closure to the series. The fit and finish of the series is amazingly well done.
